Bitcoin loses $ 3,000 worth in 24 hours

 


The latest drop came as many experts and analysts talked about crossing the record $ 20,000 mark.

Bitcoin fell by $ 3,000 in the last 24 hours after reaching unprecedented levels since 2017 when it also set records.

The price of bitcoin was $ 19,374 when it started falling sharply to $ 16,857. 2020 has been an extraordinary year for bitcoin with a 150% increase in response to the Covid-19 crisis.

The latest drop came as many experts and analysts talked about crossing the record $ 20,000 mark.

The company which is held as the world's largest lender in cryptocurrencies Nexo said it expected bitcoin to surpass the $ 20,000 price very soon.

The highest point reached by bitcoin was December 2017 at $ 19,783 and after reaching this level the bubbles burst falling to $ 3,122 the following year.
